Mairav Mintz Elected Chair of MBP Board of Directors

MBP recently appointed Mairav Mintz, PE, CCM, as Chair of the firm’s Board of Directors. Mairav assumed this role as MBP’s previous Chair, Charles E. Bolyard, Jr., CCM, PSP, CFCC, transitioned from his company ownership position at the end of 2020.  

In addition to serving as Chair of the Board of Directors, Mairav currently serves as Executive Vice President of MBP’s consulting practice and focuses on the delivery of project risk analysis, facility performance, and dispute resolution services. Mairav joined the firm in 1993 as an Engineer and became an MBP Shareholder in 2001. Her nearly 30 years of experience includes leading some of the most high-profile projects in MBP history including construction of the new Walter Reed Military Medical Center and renovation of the historic Cannon House Office Building. She has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School.  She is also a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Construction Manager.

This appointment, which took effect during the end-of-year Board of Directors meeting on December 18, 2020, represents over seven years of succession planning to allow for the smooth transition of incoming leadership.
