Transportation

The MBP team has a proven record of successfully providing services on a variety of transportation projects.

Roads and Bridges

Some of our first projects were on roads and bridges, offering construction inspection services. Today, MBP works on major highways, tunnels, and other complex projects, providing construction management and program management services. MBP’s highway expertise also extends to the area of training. MBP has developed and presented a mandatory training class for all new Virginia DOT inspection personnel covering six major construction topic areas. Additionally, MBP provides training in the area of construction scheduling, project documentation and claims avoidance for public owner clients.

Rail

Transit projects are complex and dynamic interactions of people, organizations, plans and processes. MBP specializes in design and construction phase services on a full range of projects including heavy and light rail transit, commercial rail, transportation, and stations and ancillary facilities. MBP also has a strong practice in claims analysis and resolution and has been retained by owner transportation agencies to provide change order evaluation and claims analysis support on a task order basis.

Airports

MBP’s engineers have effectively provided project management services for airport improvement projects including runway and apron expansion, airfield lighting, installation of navigational aids, terminal construction and renovations and the construction of airfield fire and rescue facilities.

Our experienced engineers are familiar with FAA regulations, specifications, and safety and communications requirements for operations in active airport areas. Our scheduling knowledge and quick reaction to unanticipated field problems can minimize down-time and assist our clients in delivering projects within time and budget.
