MBP provided commissioning services for the Urban Engineers headquarters office tenant fit-out in accordance with the LEED-CI 2009 rating system to achieve the requirements for LEED Energy and Atmosphere (EA) Prerequisite 1 Fundamental Commissioning and EA Credit 2 Enhanced Commissioning. The renovation of existing spaces of the 7th floor at 510-530 Walnut Street and 8th floor at 510 Walnut Street in Philadelphia was initiated to meet the expanding needs of Urban Engineers. The newly renovated space is approximately 66,500 square feet. The renovated office areas include 65 private offices, 12 open offices, 13 conference rooms, a lunch room, and support spaces. With a LEED Silver certification, the Urban Engineers’ Headquarters Office is the first LEED certified space in the Penn Mutual Towers building.

“The MBP team has been a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Their visits and reports were always timely and professional. The reviews performed on the construction documents saved the company time and money as did their walkthroughs and testing during construction. More importantly, their observations and recommendations provided for a more comfortable space for the occupants and eliminated potential conflicts with the contractors.”
