MBP provided inspection and construction documentation services, serving as the on-site representative at the Richmond Marine Terminal on Deepwater Terminal Road under LAP Support. Our team delivered full-time, VDOT-certified inspections, ensuring compliance with project requirements and acting as a liaison between the contractor, Virginia Port Authority (VPA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and VDOT.
Our responsibilities included maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, civil rights compliance records, EEO documentation, Davis-Bacon prevailing wage interviews and verifications, materials tracking, and labor and equipment logs. MBP also maintained a submittal log and participated in regularly scheduled progress meetings with the project team.
The scope of work for this project included erosion and sediment control, demolition, grading, pavement milling and removal, installation of asphaltic concrete pavement, pavement striping, wharf fender repairs, at-grade railroad crossings, cross tie removal and replacement, and exterior lighting upgrades.
