JFK International Airport, Terminal 1

Queens, NY

MBP developed a conceptual cost estimate during the preliminary design phase, which was used to evaluate and reconcile estimates prepared by both the design team and the proposed CM-at-Risk contractor. Our analysis highlighted key areas for potential cost reduction and provided the ownership team with valuable data to inform the selection of construction and design partners.

In addition, MBP conducted a preliminary project risk assessment, offering strategic insights on project logistics, labor availability, market conditions, and team dynamics. The project includes the redevelopment and expansion of three million square feet of terminal space, 23 new gates, aircraft parking, relocation of an existing tenant within the terminal, and upgrades to security screening, baggage handling, and local surface transportation systems.
