Hampton Virginia Aquaplex

The Hampton Virginia Aquaplex is the largest competitive aquatic facility in Virginia and the largest between Washington, DC, and Greensboro, NC. MBP provided construction management services, and our  involvement covered the entire lifecycle of the project, from technical support on the design-build process to construction support, which included our careful attention to detail and verifying installation was done according to the drawings and specifications.

The main attraction is its 50-meter by 25-yard competition pool with seating for 1,500 spectators which allows it to host national and collegiate level swim tournaments. The 64,000-square-foot facility also includes many other amenities for the community and other events. There are other community benefits, such as a new partnership with the local public school system on a learn-to-swim program that is now part of their second-grade physical education curriculum.
