Market:
MBP provided commissioning services during the design, construction, occupancy, and operations phases for the new Fire Station #1 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Our scope included commissioning rooftop air handling units, terminal units, exhaust fans, unit heaters, kitchen hoods, industrial air cleaners, ductless split systems, and the building automation system. Throughout the project, MBP identified and helped resolve more than 160 issues, ensuring system performance and long-term reliability for the owner.
The project replaced the original facility with a new 31,000-square-foot station designed to support modern fire and emergency operations. The building features administrative offices, an emergency operations and training room, dayrooms, bunk rooms, a kitchen and dining areas, storage, apparatus bays, decontamination and work spaces, mechanical and support rooms, and fitness and wellness facilities. Together, these spaces create a state-of-the-art environment for first responders to serve the community.
