Since 2007, MBP has provided ongoing consulting services to the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) to enhance patron comfort and optimize energy performance. Our work has included reviewing and recommending adjustments to mechanical system operations, assisting with contracting for system repairs, resolving building pressurization issues by adjusting outside air delivery, and providing ongoing training for DPAC’s operations and maintenance staff. Currently, MBP is supporting the City of Durham with a major renovation of DPAC’s mechanical systems and HVAC controls. As a premier performing arts venue with 2,712 seats, DPAC hosts more than 200 performances annually and has welcomed over 4.7 million guests.
