MBP provided enhanced commissioning services as described in the USGBC’s LEED for New Construction Version 3.0, Energy & Atmosphere Credit 3. MBP led and managed the commissioning process on behalf of the City of Raleigh during the design, construction, acceptance, and occupancy phases. The project is a 43,000-square-foot facility, which involved the construction of a 9,700-square-foot concourse and a 9,300-square-foot addition to the existing 24,000-square-foot industrial building. The facility is an urban transportation center housing intercity passenger rail, commercial lease space, significant interior and exterior civic spaces, and major public infrastructure improvements. The project is targeting a LEED Silver certification.
