1. What got you into your current career path?
When I was in college, I majored in business administration and wanted to get a job as either a stockbroker or in sports or corporate marketing when I graduated, so I did three internships. One at a brokerage firm, one for the Baltimore Ravens, and one at an engineering firm. Guess I found the AEC industry the most exciting because I never left.
2. What is your dream vacation/favorite travel spot?
My favorite city is Charleston, South Carolina, so I am hoping to make it back there soon. What’s on my bucket list? Venice, Italy, and the Greek islands. I also dream about traveling to Tahiti and staying in one of those overwater bungalows.
3. What is some advice you’d give to your 20-year-old self?
Don’t be afraid to take on new challenges and growth opportunities. You’ll know these opportunities because they make you uncomfortable, and your initial impulse may be that you’re not ready. You may mess up along the way, but this is where the best learning happens.
4. Best work-related advice you’ve even gotten?
Work hard, stay positive, and be real. The rest will fall into place.
