Q&A

1. How did you get into a career in construction?

I grew up in construction. My father owned a residential construction/development company.  I started working summers and weekends for him since I was 12 (or younger). I was particularly interested in the site development piece which is the reason I became a civil engineer.

2. What was/is the project you are most proud of?

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency New Campus East project.  We had a great team that worked hard and well together to complete a huge amount of work in a short period of time.

3. What is something interesting about yourself that nobody would know?

Swimming was a big part of my formative years.  I went to Villanova on a swimming scholarship. I met my wife swimming at Villanova.

4. What is some advice you’d give to your 20-year-old self?

Enjoy your youth, live it up, be adventurous, and travel!  There’s plenty of time to be a responsible adult.  Oh yeah, buy Apple, Amazon, and Facebook stock.
