Chris McLuckie has more than 29 years of experience managing construction projects from pre-design through project closeout as both agency construction manager and general contractor. He has performed construction management services for a variety of clients including universities, airports, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, state and local governments, and has extensive experience on federal government projects. Chris is experienced in all phases of the construction process including cost estimating, CPM scheduling, constructibility review, claims analysis, and on-site construction management. Chris’s focus is on strategic planning, organizational leadership, and quality control. His approach emphasizes teamwork and bringing the right people together to facilitate the best solutions. He is an accomplished public speaker with an aptitude for client relationships and staff development. As an Area Manager, Chris is responsible for managing workflow and utilization of our team members throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida.

Q&A

1. What got you into your current career path?

I got into construction because at the end of the day I love being able to see something tangible in place that wasn’t there when we started. Whether it’s a stadium, a school, or an office building, to see it completed and know I played a part in making people’s lives better is very rewarding.

2. What was/is the career milestone you are most proud of?

Completing my CCM

3. What is your dream vacation/favorite travel spot?

My dream vacation would be a tour of Scotland which would obviously include some golfing, pub visits, and sight-seeing.

4. What’s your favorite thing about your job?

Working on projects that improve communities and knowing I had a part in making it happen.
