MBP provided building commissioning services in accordance with LEED enhanced commissioning guidelines and critical path method (CPM) scheduling review services. The project involved the construction of a state-of-the-art, 100,000-square-foot building that includes space for automotive labs, collision labs including paint booth, offices, and classrooms for automotive and collision repair programs that are part of the Applied Engineering and Technology program.
MBP worked closely with all project stakeholders to improve indoor environmental comfort and increase energy efficiency and also implemented a monitoring-based commissioning program (MBCx) to facilitate seasonal testing, automatically detect faults, and optimize system performance. These issues were communicated to the owner and contractors for correction during the warranty phase of the project. MBCx is one way that MBP is working to promote sustainability and reduce waste in commercial construction environments.
