MBP performed daily construction site visits to monitor and document project progress and verify the quality of work installed. Site observation reports, accompanied by photo documentation, tracked key project details, including on-site trades and manpower, active work by trade, equipment in use, materials delivered, and any issues encountered. MBP actively participated in pre-construction meetings, weekly project coordination meetings, monthly status updates, contractor pre-installation conferences, and other issue-specific discussions. We provided input to help resolve construction challenges and deficiencies, collaborating with the client and design team to approve corrective actions taken by the contractor.
Additionally, MBP reviewed monthly payment applications, offering recommendations to the client and design team based on contract compliance, verified work-in-place, and stored materials. We also managed and monitored punch list activities, consolidating items from the design team, client, and our own observations. MBP coordinated with the contractor to confirm the completion of all punch list items before scheduling the final close-out inspection.
The project involved demolishing five existing self-priming suction lift wastewater pump stations and replacing them with new duplex submersible pump lift stations. Each station included an 8-foot diameter wet well, concrete slab, above-grade piping and valves, an aluminum platform with generator, asphalt paving, and perimeter fencing. Manholes and gravity sewer lines were constructed to direct flow to each lift station, which connected to existing 6-inch force mains. The existing pump stations remained in service until the new submersible stations were fully tested, approved, and operational.
