Randolph Community College, Allied Health Center

Asheboro, NC

MBP provided enhanced commissioning services throughout the design, construction, acceptance, and warranty phases of the project. Our scope included the commissioning of key systems such as water-cooled self-contained air conditioners, variable air volume terminal units, an air-to-air energy recovery ventilator, cooling tower, heat exchanger, condensing boiler, HVAC controls, domestic hot water systems, electrical service and distribution, and lighting and daylighting controls.

The project involved a new two-story, 42,300-square-foot Allied Health Center designed to support students pursuing careers in healthcare. The facility features specialized learning labs for EMS, radiology, nursing, and hospital simulation, along with green spaces, student commons, computer labs, lecture halls, and office suites. This state-of-the-art center expands healthcare education opportunities for Randolph Community College students while helping meet the medical needs of Randolph County. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.

“I have been with Randolph Community College for 16 years and there are a handful of experiences that have been impressionable – and dealing with MBP has been one of those experiences. Truly a firm that delivers the expectations they promise.”
