Opera House Renovation

Theater renovations included new floor structure, operable pit platform modifications, new seating, balcony and box tier modifications, ADA and restroom renovations, new elevator, asbestos abatement, and new HVAC, electrical, and sound systems. This was a time-critical project involving 12-month shutdown of renowned opera house and re-opening in time for Kennedy Center 2003 Honors Program.

Family Theater Renovation

The project involved renovation to the 324-seat Family Theater at the Kennedy Center. Unveiled on December 9, 2005, the new Family Theater provides a new home for world-class family theater performances for the nation’s youth and continues the Kennedy Center’s $125 million commitment to performing arts education for adults and children alike.

Underground Parking Garage Rehabilitation

Hydrodemolition, structural concrete repair and overlays, and appurtenant work was included for this multi-phase rehabilitation of the three-level, 600,000-square-foot, occupied underground parking garage.
