MBP provided agency construction management services during the pre-construction and construction phases including full-time, on-site construction management, cost estimating, and constructibility reviews. MBP also provided commissioning services for the complete renovation and addition of the facility. The project consisted of a full renovation of the approximately 100,000-square-foot science and classroom building, addition of a 35,000-square-foot auditorium, and the demolition of the adjoining auditorium rebuilt as a three-story auditorium and office structure on the densely packed campus of the College of Charleston. The building houses science labs, lecture halls, and staff offices, as well as a certified vivarium and a roof-top astronomy observation deck.
