Scott A. “Gator” Galbraith Elected President-Elect of the AACE International Board of Directors

MBP is proud to announce the election of Scott A. “Gator” Galbraith, PE, CCM, CFCC, as President-Elect of AACE International (AACE), the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, by its membership. This prestigious role signifies a three-year commitment, with Gator serving as President-Elect for 2023-2024, President for 2024-2025, and Past President for 2025-2026.

Gator is a graduate of Virginia Tech having earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1991. He has been an integral part of the MBP team for nearly 30 years, starting from his early days as an engineer and progressing through various roles. Today, he serves as Senior Vice President and the Operations Leader for MBPs’ Services Strategy & Delivery group.

Since joining AACE in 2004, Gator has actively contributed to the organization’s growth and success. In 2007, he earned his Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC) certification, demonstrating his expertise in the field. Gator’s dedication to professional development is evident through his presentations at AACE Conferences & Expos. From 2011 to 2013, he served as a Director on the AACE North Florida Section’s Board, leveraging his insights to benefit the local chapter. After his overseas project experience, Gator continued to support AACE by serving on the AACE Certification Board’s CFCC committee from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019, he has been a member of AACE’s Board of Directors, initially as the Vice President of Administration from 2019 to 2021 and currently as Director – Certification, further contributing to the organization’s mission and goals.

As President-Elect, Gator aims to engage with members worldwide and enhance awareness of AACE’s technical products, educational opportunities, and certifications among owners, AEC companies, and practitioners. “This increased awareness and understanding of AACE’s technical work product, educational opportunities, and certified members will not only benefit AACE with increased membership and certified individuals, but more importantly will benefit the industries we serve,” he stated, “This includes the projects owners develop, educational institutions, and our members as the people who ultimately work to complete them on time, on budget, and meet investment and operational goals.”
