City of Raleigh Awards Commissioning Services Contract to MBP

MBP Carolinas (MBP) is pleased to announce that the City of Raleigh has selected the firm to provide commissioning services in support of the Raleigh Union Station project.

MBP’s commissioning team will provide enhanced commissioning services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building enclosure systems from design through the construction and warranty phases.

Raleigh’s Union Station was originally built in 1892.The new project will consist of a 9,200-square-foot addition to the existing 24,000-square-foot mid-century industrial building. The facility will be an ultramodern urban transportation center housing intercity passenger rail, commercial lease space, significant interior and exterior civic spaces, and major public infrastructure improvements. The $73 million project is targeting a LEED Silver certification and is scheduled for completion in December 2017.
