MBP Carolinas (MBP) is pleased to announce that the City of Raleigh has selected the firm to provide commissioning services in support of the Raleigh Union Station project.
MBP’s commissioning team will provide enhanced commissioning services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building enclosure systems from design through the construction and warranty phases.
Raleigh’s Union Station was originally built in 1892.The new project will consist of a 9,200-square-foot addition to the existing 24,000-square-foot mid-century industrial building. The $73 million project is targeting a LEED Silver certification and is scheduled for completion in December 2017.
“We are excited to expand our affiliation with the City of Raleigh,” states Vice President/Branch Operations Manager Kevin Lugo, PE, CCM. “Our team is experienced on the types of systems to be designed for the project, and will work collaboratively with the City and its stakeholders to deliver a sustainable facility that operates as intended.”
