MBP’s Kemper Street Interchange project with the City of Lynchburg was recently presented with an Honorable Mention award in the projects less than $10 million, non-VDOT category at the 2017 Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) Transportation Engineering Awards. MBP’s Dominion Boulevard Improvements project with the City of Chesapeake was also an award recipient in the projects greater than $10 million, non-VDOT category.
The Transportation Engineering Awards Program was created by the Engineering Consultant Leadership Committee to recognize outstanding achievements by VTCA Engineering Consultant Members in transportation engineering design.
“Chris Lee and the entire MBP team who helped to deliver this project on-time and under-budget are to be congratulated on being recognized at yesterday’s VTCA consultant forum for their excellent work,” states Dale Grigg, PE, CCM, Branch Manager. “This project replaces an antiquated bridge and functionally deficient interchange with a new maintenance-free structure and a much safer and operationally effective interchange that will serve the City well for decades to come. Once again, congratulations to Chris and all those who helped with this project.”
