He’s worked across various project delivery methods, including design-bid-build, design-build, and Construction Management-at-Risk, providing clients with valuable guidance in securing alternative funding sources such as grants and low-interest loans. Jeff has extensive experience working with agencies like NCDOT, contributing to a wide range of transportation projects.

Q&A with Jeff

What do you enjoy most about working at MBP?: My favorite part of working with MBP is the flexibility to work in the way that is most efficient for me. Whether from home, the office, or on the road, MBP encourages and equips me to work in a way that makes sense for what is going on in my life both at work and away from work.
What’s your role at MBP, and what does a typical day look like?: I can honestly say that every day is different for me. Some days I’m stationary and focusing on technical work, others I’m traveling to see clients, team members, and projects. It is one of the best parts of my job, and it is definitely never boring.
What advice would you give to someone starting a career in this industry?: Focus on the people as much or more than on the project. Relationships are everything in this business.
If you weren’t in your current job, what would you be doing?: I’m not exactly sure, but it would require a lot less time on the phone!
Favorite way to unwind after a busy week?: Inshore fishing at the coast if the weather is good, video games (RPGs specifically) if not.
If MBP had a theme song, what would it be?: Given our emphasis on risk management and wellbeing, I’m pretty sure it would be “Safety Dance” by Men Without Hats.
