Meet Alex Angelides, a Senior Engineer at MBP. With 15 years of experience in design and construction, Alex plays a key role in keeping projects moving smoothly. His work includes everything from contract administration and scheduling to quality assurance and field inspections, ensuring each project stays on track.

Whether he’s overseeing federal facilities, medical centers, or roadways, Alex works closely with contractors, subcontractors, owners, and designers to ensure alignment and deliver high-quality results.

Q&A with Alex

What inspired you to pursue a career in construction management?: I enjoy the variety that construction management offers. Every day brings something new to the table to either solve or learn.
How has MBP supported your career growth or professional development?: MBP has helped push me to new heights by placing me in positions where I can learn something new and grow into positions with more responsibility. They have also supported my professional development when I pursue new certifications by either providing or supporting the training needed.
What advice would you give to someone starting a career in this industry?: Don’t be afraid to be wrong. Keep an open mind. Be willing to learn. Say yes to opportunities even if you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into.
What is some advice you’d give to your 20-year-old self?: You don’t have to have all the answers now.
What’s your hidden talent?: I am very good at navigating. It could be a map, a building, a construction site, or just a general understanding of the direction I’m going in without a compass.
What is your favorite way to unwind after a busy week?: I really enjoy playing video games with my buddies after a long week. It’s a great way to unwind mentally and enjoy some laughs.
