MBP provided enhanced commissioning services during the design, construction and acceptance phases. The Arts Center is a 70,290-square-foot, campus-wide destination for the study and production of the arts at Duke. The new facility provides space/studios for painting, ceramics, 3D studio/multipurpose studio, video production, dance technology/rehearsal, multipurpose dance studios, general production/rehearsal space, darkroom, printmaking/photo, screen printing room, radio station, as well as flexible classrooms. The lobby offers exhibition space for visual art and media along with a 250-seat flexible theater. The facility includes faculty and administrative offices, plus support/storage spaces.
