MBP received a 2021 Cigna Well-Being Award this week for demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the health and wellness of its culture through workplace wellness programs. MBP was presented with the highest level of award, the Outstanding Culture of Well-Being.
“The MBP Wellness Committee does it again with their outstanding efforts to engage MBP team members in wellness activities throughout the year,” said Kara Benick, SHRM-CP, Benefits Manager. “The team really brought their ‘A-game’ in 2021 introducing new monthly initiatives including Meditation Mondays, Walk-n-Talk Tuesdays, and smoothie recipes too. Taking it one step further they designed a challenge geared towards exercising our brains to focus on mental health, which was something we had never done before.”

Applicants for the Well-Being Award are evaluated on five key area components of their wellness programs, including leadership, foundations, program implementation, tools, and health promotion participation data. All applications are reviewed and judged by an internal, multi-departmental review committee from Cigna.
