MBP Ranks #13 on 2011 Best Workplaces List by Great Place to Work®

Fairfax, Virginia - The Great Place to Work® Rankings: 2011 Best Small & Medium Workplaces Presented by Entrepreneur® list was announced October 18 and MBP ranked #13 in the Medium Companies category, up from #23 last year. This annual list recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. In its eighth year, the competition is divided into two categories, Small (50-250 employees) and Medium (251-999 employees).

MBP was selected among hundreds of companies vying for a place on the list this year. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

MBP stood out from the competition with the firm's option of full coverage of premiums for medical, dental and vision insurance; education and fitness reimbursement plans; quarterly awards and bonuses to employees who display outstanding efforts; and a variety of professional advancement opportunities. MBP has also embarked on a comprehensive Woohoo Wellness program which encourages team members to engage in activities to enhance their overall well-being and foster a work-life balance at MBP.

"We are extremely honored to have once again made the Best Workplaces list," says Charles E. Bolyard, Jr., PSP, CFCC, Chairman and CEO. "In today's economy we strive harder than ever to provide our team members with great benefits, educational opportunities, and a values-based culture in which they can share ideas and grow professionally. We are proud of what we have achieved as a team and hope to continue to improve."

"The companies featured on this year's list are truly extraordinary in their practices and achievements," said Susan Lucas-Conwell, CEO of Great Place to Work. "Their leaders recognize the value of creating great workplaces and the competitive edge it provides them."

Organizations named on the list see many benefits that include better financial performance, less employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, more innovative and creative thinking, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.
