Harris Wins SAME Atlanta Post Award

Atlanta, GA - McDonough Bolyard Peck, Inc. (MBP) is pleased to announce that Beth Harris was selected by the Atlanta Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) as Member of the Year for 2009-2010.

"MBP is pleased to be a part of such a strong association," said Frank Ward, PE, CCM, Operations Manager for MBP's Atlanta Branch and Vice President of the SAME Atlanta Post. "We are very proud of Beth and her commitment to professional development, as well as her selfless volunteering and participation in SAME events."

Harris served this past year on the SAME Atlanta Chapter Board of Directors as Secretary and Programs Director. This year, she played a key role in the execution and planning of the SAME JETC 2010 Conference which was hosted by the Atlanta post. Acting as co-chair of registration and also volunteering on the golf committee, Harris ensured the success of the JETC Conference which had a record-breaking attendance level.

A graduate of East Carolina University, Harris has 15 years experience in the A/E/C industry, having previously served as Director of Business Development for a large construction engineering firm. Harris is active in many other construction industry associations, including the Atlanta chapters of the Construction Owners Association of America (COAA) and the Council for Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI). She also has served as the Atlanta Chapter President for the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS.
