Senior Engineer
Columbus, Georgia

(On site at Fort Benning)

Main Duties:
  • Interact with architects,engineers, and construction managers to gather information

  • Interpret contract clauses and technical provisions- pertaining to schedule performance management

  • Assess the reasonableness of schedule durations, cost loading, activity coding and work breakdown schedule

  • Effectively and efficiently review draft, preliminary, baseline, and updated progress schedules for reasonableness

  • Lead/participate in monthly (or as scheduled) meetings between the ACO and contractor to review/analyze progress

  • Prepare and present demonstrations/training on advanced topics for utilization of Primavera to enhance the skills and capabilities of the Fort Benning field staff

  • Conduct schedule impact analysis for modifications and produce schedule fragments for inclusion in change order documents

  • Participate as part of the negotiation team in the time aspects of construction modifications

  • Ability to make informed judgments as it relates to logically planning the work, identify activity sequence and contracting milestones, predict completion dates and provide accurate as-built record of projects progress from NTP to final acceptance.

Skills/Requirements:
  • Demonstrate understanding of software programs such as QCS/RMS/P3 interface

  • Proficient software experience in Primavera Project Planner P3 v3.1, P5/P6 and Digger software

  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.

Education/Knowledge
Background in construction industry is required. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Technology, Construction Management, Architecture or related degree and 3 to 4 years of progressive scheduling experience.

Or 6 to 8 years of progressive scheduling experience where developmental and management of schedules is a large component of one's tasks.
